Pediatric Nurse Practitioners

A Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) is an advanced practice nurse who provides comprehensive, accurate health care to all children, birth to 21 years of age. PNPs enhance health care by adhering to high standards of care and collaborating with pediatricians and other health care providers in a variety of clinical settings including hospitals, schools, public health agencies, specialty clinics and private outpatient clinics like Wayzata Children's Clinic.

PNPs have the training and expertise to diagnose, treat and educate children and families on acute and chronic illnesses. PNPs can also receive further training which allows them to specialize their medical care in a particular clinical area.
