Emily P. Chapman, M.D.

Emily P. Chapman, M.D., is originally from the East Coast and studied Psychology and Studio Art at Williams College in Massachusetts. She then worked for five years at Children's Hospital in Washington, D.C., in the field of Child Psychology and Development. After completing her medical degree (with academic honors) from Dartmouth College in New Hampshire in 1995, Dr. Chapman moved to the Midwest for pediatric residency at the University of Minnesota. The Wayzata Children's clinic was prominent in her training, and she joined our team full-time in 1999. She is Board Certified in Pediatrics, and has particular clinical interest in general pediatrics, parenting, and early childhood development (and how to survive it as a parent). As Director of Graduate Education at Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota, Dr. Chapman also teaches clinical pediatrics to medical students and residents. Emily lives in Orono with her husband, Christopher, and their two boys. As a former athlete, her personal interests include running, sailing, and raising her children.
